PC: Prices Climbing

Virtualized windows instances are the last piece of software in most business environments that are likely to run on X86 hardware designed to run a Windows OS. While some may run Redhat, if it has a GPU it is likely using a Windows OS with a driver developed with Windows in mind.
With Windows moving to ARM blades, it is more than likely that all the hardware support is going with it. That leaves X86 hardware support relegated to the old guard of anti-Windows, Linux.
There is some hope that businesses that don't want the cloud will stay on Redhat servers, but that means prices will be going up. As suppliers move away, the ones that remain will have less competition and will start with "enthusiast" label pricing.
If you are a PC gamer, it is a smart move to start moving away from Windows. Steam OS, Ubuntu, Cent, or Arch Linux for the masochists. PC gaming will likely be going back to it's indie roots as the worlds of business and pleasure are divided once more.
