The death knell of PC gaming sounds like "Steam Machine"

Valve is successful because they know what the market is doing before the market does it. 

The Steam Machine is a sign that Valve knows PC building is on the way out.

As Data Centers devour hardware, the tolls on PC builders are ringing loudly in the supply houses. Console prices are sure to go up as well. Unless a console maker gets it together and stops simping for low-skill developers and starts making consoles from bin parts, the golden age of video games is probably on its way out.
